Missouri: How Robert Rayford contracted AIDS
Robert died at 16 years of age and he started to get symptoms when he was 13. At first, no one knew what it was. He had purple spots and warts all over his body with shortness of breath. He had never traveled out of the country and told his doctors that he never had a blood transfusion. It is believed that his grandfather abused him as he had similar symptoms to Robert. It was in 1984 when doctors ran tests on his blood and found out that he had died of AIDS nearly a decade before the disease was first discovered. All of the theories are mere speculations as no one knows for sure how and when he was infected with HIV.
