New Hampshire: The disappearance of Rachel Garden

The 1980 disappearance of Rachel Garden has never been solved. The 15-year-old from Newton was last seen walking home from Rowe’s corner market on Pond Street in Newton to buy a pack of cigarettes. Rachel was supposed to walk to a friend’s house to stay the night but she has not been seen or heard from since. Investigators believe she is dead but her body has never been found. Police suspect foul play in her disappearance.  “A witness claimed to have seen Rachel talking to three young men outside the market, but none of the men were ever charged. In fact, no one has ever been charged, and there are no suspects.” Nearly 40 years later, the case appears to be hopelessly cold.
